Conservation Tip: Keep Tires Out of Parks and Waterways

Tires are too often dumped in our parks and waterways, harming our environment. Keep our city clean, and dispose of your used tires properly! Some options include selling or donating to a reputable tire dealer and recycling at a local recycling center. Check before you make the trip! 

Another option is to watch for local events where you can drop off old tires. One upcoming event is the Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed [ https://www.olentangywatershed.org/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery ]’s tire amnesty event, where you can donate up to 10 used tires to be recycled for free! The event will be held at Linmoor Education Center, 2001 Hamilton Ave., 43211, on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m.-noon. Help do your part, and keep your parks and waterways clean!
