In 2023 we were able to accomplish so much and move closer to achieving our Columbus Climate Action Plan goals. Highlights included groundbreaking 45 MW of new solar, the start of weekly recycling and food waste drop-off sites, launching the Columbus Region Green Fund, $19 million in savings for aggregation participants, meeting Gina McCarthy and hosting an Inflation Reduction Act Workshop at COSI, countless community events, cleanups and so much more! During this first month of the New Year, we look forward to creating new memories and moments with all of you in the year ahead.

Pollution Solutions: Join us for a Climate Planning Update

Join our team and partners for a climate planning update for our Columbus region. Learn about the Federal grant our community has received, give your input and learn how to stay connected! Columbus residents are encouraged to attend the Hilltop meeting on the 31st for logistical ease, however both meetings are open to anyone across the 10-county Columbus MSA. The meetings will cover the same information and a virtual option will be available for both meetings!

Congratulations Empowered! Graduates

Congratulations to the 5th Empowered! cohort who graduated the program this past December. This climate career exploration program that highlights clean energy and construction is focused on young people from communities of color, women and our Opportunity neighborhoods. Many of these amazing graduates already have job offers, including with a local solar manufacturer that will be starting at $27.50/hr.!
