Plant a Tree for Arbor Day – Grow a Greener Tomorrow

Arbor Day is April 25—and there’s no better time to plant a tree and give back to the planet. Every tree you plant supports a cleaner, healthier community by improving air quality, providing wildlife habitat and helping cool your home.

Here in Columbus, we’re working toward a bold goal: 40 percent tree canopy cover by 2050. When you plant a tree, you’re helping us get one step closer to that future!

$5 Golf for Youth Thanks to New Partnership

We’ve teamed up with Youth on Course to make golf more accessible to Columbus youth! Kids ages 6-18 can now play a round of golf for just $5 at five City of Columbus courses—during select times—with a $40 annual Youth on Course membership. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

Take a Step Toward Better Health Through Walk With a Doc

Join the free Walk With A Doc Neighborhood Walking Club, and take simple steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Enjoy short health talks from local doctors, walk at your own pace and meet new friends along the way. This neighborhood walking club meets at locations across the city now through Oct. 25 so there are plenty of opportunities to participate! 

We have some exciting new features in 2025, including a free T-shirt when you attend five walks and a punch card to track your progress. For every five walks, you’ll earn a bonus raffle entry for the End of Year Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1.
