Zone In Project Update 

As part of the City’s ongoing work to update Columbus’ 70-year-old zoning code, a new proposal has been introduced to apply modern zoning districts to portions of S.R. 161/East Dublin-Granville corridor in the Northland Neighborhood.  

This proposal would rezone 165 parcels along S.R. 161 between Worthington city limits and Ponderosa Drive into the Title 34 mixed-use zoning districts. These new zoning districts were created in 2024 through Zone In Columbus, a multi-year effort to modernize the zoning code and address key challenges around housing, mobility, and affordability.  

On Monday, March 10, Columbus City Council will consider a resolution (0030X-2025) to propose the rezoning of the identified sections of S.R. 161 under Title 34. If approved, a 60-day public comment period will begin.
